Engagement Terms
Travel & Out-of-Area
Work in Carteret, Craven, Onslow, Jones, and Lenoir counties carries no travel charge. Approved out-of-area travel is billed at the applicable IRS standard business mileage rate in effect on the date of travel. Any lodging, meals, tolls, parking, or other travel expenses will be agreed upon in writing before travel is booked. Engagements that require regular out-of-area travel have a minimum annual out-of-area fee of $6,000, stated in the proposal.
Force Majeure
NC AI Services shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, government action, labor disputes, internet or infrastructure outages, or third-party platform failures. In such events, obligations are suspended for the duration of the force majeure condition, and timelines will be extended accordingly.
