Engagement Terms
Travel & Out-of-Area
Services delivered outside Carteret, Craven, Onslow, Jones, and Lenoir counties require reimbursement of travel costs in addition to the service fee. Travel is billed at the current IRS standard mileage rate ($0.725/mile), plus meals and incidental expenses at the federal GSA per diem rate ($68/day). Engagements requiring out-of-area travel are subject to a minimum annual out-of-area fee of $6,000/year. Travel costs are invoiced separately and are due upon receipt.
Force Majeure
NC AI Services shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, government action, labor disputes, internet or infrastructure outages, or third-party platform failures. In such events, obligations are suspended for the duration of the force majeure condition, and timelines will be extended accordingly.
