Designing for the US-17 traffic that passes through Pollocksville
Most people who ever see your logo will see it from a moving vehicle. That is the actual design constraint here — a highway carrying folks between two much larger towns, going past at speed, with about two seconds to register what you are. So the mark has to work stripped right down: high contrast, few colours, a shape that survives at small size and at a glance. The trade name matters more than the graphic. A phone number should be legible from the next lane over. Anything fine-lined, anything with a gradient, anything needing to be read up close is decoration you paid for and nobody sees. We draw the small, plain version first and let the detailed one follow, because on this road the small version is what does the work all day.
